Violeta Chang

Assistant Professor
Department of Computer Engineering
University of Santiago of Chile

Violeta Chang has a PhD in Computer Science and from 2019 she joined the DIINF as assistant professor. After receiving her doctorate degree from the University of Chile, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Scientific Images Analysis (SCIAN-Lab) of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile, from 2015 to 2018. With experience in teaching and researching in the areas of Image Processing and Machine Learning since 2001, her research is oriented to the biomedical field in morphological analysis of human sperm assisted by computer and automatic classification of breast cancer biopsies.
